Connecting the community
To be with—in partnership, in community, in relationship, in trust—starts with being present. It requires time and effort and risk. It is also the element that creates justice naturally, through the heart rather than through the mind.
When we truly “stand with” one another, justice becomes not an object but a lived experience.
Kaleo Center provides a common space for faith-based, multi-faith and secular groups to interact and learn from one another. We shape spaces and create opportunities for to reaching across communities and beyond injustices to form real bonds.
Our internship program also integrates action-learning to facilitate new relationships, stretch boundaries and remove walls.
The following represents some of the organizations with which we have placed interns. Please contact us if you would like to know more about internships or have an organization you would like to add to the list.
Minnesota Council of Churches
St. Paul Area Council of Churches
Joint Religious Legislative Coaltion
Institute for Welcoming Resources

It is collective action (not solo work) which is decisive and effective. Who we stand with is as important as what we stand for — therefore, we convene, we bind together, and we unite allies for a more fair and just world. Together, we undertake the healing of the world.
*A note about “Standing With” on this seal: We have been made aware of potential ableist implications with this phrase. We apologize for not recognizing this in the creation of the seal in 2014. We are working to create a new seal for this strategic priority.
