The Center for Public Ministry at United has taken a new name! We are now the Kaleo Center for Faith, Justice and Social Transformation (pronounced “Kaléo”). This name change reflects a deepening sense of our identity, not a departure from our mission.
The name Kaleo expresses our self-understanding as a voice calling forth justice across faith communities. Kaleo Center seeks to call forth the best and deepest passions in persons of faith. We work to prepare and empower faithful leaders to act powerfully for the common good. And we do this in partnership with allies in the wider community.
We believe that justice requires deep, abiding relationships. Who we stand with is as important as what we stand for.
